A similar accident happened last year also
In some pictures released on social media, some buildings have also been destroyed due to the blast. The explosion was so loud that its sound echoed throughout the island. Earlier in November last year, eight Indian citizens had died due to a fire in a ‘garage’ in Male, the capital of Maldives. The fire then broke out in a ‘garage’ in M. Nirufefi near Mawiyo Mosque. A total of 10 people died in this accident, out of which eight were Indians.
