Russia-Ukraine War: Russian President Vladimir Putin calls on Prime Minister for help in peaceful resolution of Ukraine war Narendra Modi Has expressed gratitude. According to Russian government agency Tass, Putin said, ‘I am grateful to you for helping to find a peaceful solution to the most important issues, especially the Ukraine crisis.’ Putin said this during his conversation with Modi at the President’s Office in the Kremlin on Tuesday.

PM Modi said, ‘Peace is most important for the bright future of the new generation. Peace talks do not succeed amidst bombs, guns and bullets. Modi also mentioned the informal conversation he had with Putin on Monday, saying that there is hope after listening to Putin.

Modi expressed grief over the death of children
Regarding the Russian missile attack on a children’s hospital in Kiev, Modi said, ‘If people lose their lives then every person who believes in humanity is sad. Even if innocent children are killed then it is very painful. On the other hand, Putin said that India and Russia work together on the international stage. Putin also mentioned the strategic partnership between the two countries.

Modi will not mediate in Russia-Ukraine war
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has shared information regarding the long discussion between PM Modi and Vladimir Putin on Monday. He said that both the leaders had constructive discussions on the topic of Ukraine, but PM Modi did not offer the role of mediator in it. According to the Kremlin spokesperson, Modi has suggested proposals for compromise. He said, ‘Everyone talks about peace, everyone wants peace and we also want peace.’
