Modi expressed grief over the death of children

Even if innocent children are killed then it is very painful. On the other hand, Putin said that India and Russia work together on the international stage. Putin also mentioned the strategic partnership between the two countries.
Modi will not mediate in Russia-Ukraine war
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has shared information regarding the long discussion between PM Modi and Vladimir Putin on Monday. He said that both the leaders had constructive discussions on the topic of Ukraine, but PM Modi did not offer the role of mediator in it. According to the Kremlin spokesperson, Modi has suggested proposals for compromise. He said, ‘Everyone talks about peace, everyone wants peace and we also want peace.’
