He recalled PM Modi’s 2017 visit to Colombo, during which he participated in Vesak Day celebrations.

Porez said, PM Modi is a great leader. After he was made the Prime Minister, we can see a revival in Buddhism. We saw the Buddha’s relics traveling to Thailand. Earlier, the holy Buddha relics had traveled from India to Mongolia and Sri Lanka. When PM Modi came to Sri Lanka in 2017, he started his speech with a verse from Dhammapada. We have seen him address Buddhist communities across the world. Recently the Indian government gave 15 million US dollars to Sri Lanka for the promotion of Buddhist activities. No one in the world has done such a virtuous work.
