Why are there more earthquakes in Taiwan?

There are many types of layers inside the earth and beneath them are plates, when they collide with each other, earthquakes occur. Taiwan is located between two plates. In such a situation, whenever those two plates collide, earthquakes occur in Taiwan. In 1999, 2000 people lost their lives due to the earthquake here. At the same time, in 2016 also 100 people died due to earthquake.
